VISTAA is one of Armenia’s very first and longest serving post-independence business service providers specializing in agriculture, environment, and natural resources (water, forests, land, etc) management. VISTAA was founded with the support of ACDI/VOCA and USAID in 1995. The main objective is to provide technical assistance to small and medium scale agricultural enterprises and individual rural communities and support technical specialists, utilizing their knowledge. Priority is given to business development, new technologies, renewable energy promotion, production and processing, community development projects. Within these program areas VISTAA recruits best appropriate experts to help identify and solve problems faced by enterprises, rural people and other VISTAA clients.
Since 1996, VISTAA has been helping change agriculture and environment through activities in the private sector. In recent years VISTAA has expanded its scope of activities and has engaged in institutional development, policy planning, strategy design, and legal framework development in both private and public sectors especially in education, civil service and social security.
